Dennis Mantel, a 66-year-old resident of Myrtle Beach, was tragically found dead on June 26, 2017, in Conway, South Carolina. Mantel, who worked as a cab driver, was discovered in his Imperial Cab early that morning. The initial response by medics treated the situation as a cardiac arrest, but upon further examination, it was revealed that Mantel had suffered a fatal gunshot wound. This discovery prompted the Horry County Police to launch a homicide investigation.
