In the early morning hours of a Tuesday in Conway, South Carolina, tragedy struck a local family. Charles Hakeem Johnson, a 33-year-old Black man, was shot and killed on June 11, 2024. The incident occurred around 3:00 a.m. in the 1700 block of John Street. Johnson was quickly taken to Conway Medical Center for treatment but succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at approximately 3:30 a.m.
