Michael Waylon Goettsch, a 35-year-old resident of Summerville, South Carolina, was found dead in his home on September 5, 2017. The Dorchester County Coroner's Office ruled his death a homicide. Goettsch was discovered at his Carmon Street residence around 4:30 a.m. The exact manner and cause of his death were not immediately released, but it was confirmed that he had been shot. His body was taken to the Medical University of South Carolina for an autopsy to determine further details.
