In the early morning hours, the quiet of a Greenville, South Carolina hotel parking lot was shattered by a fatal act of violence. Andre Lamar Allen, a 50-year-old man from Livonia, Michigan, was found shot to death, his life ending far from home. The Greenville County Coroner's Office later confirmed that Allen died from a gunshot wound to the chest and officially ruled his death a homicide.
Greenville County sheriff's deputies were called to the scene around 2:30 a.m.
after Allen's body was discovered. An investigation was immediately launched into the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The coroner's office indicated that Allen may have been deceased for approximately two hours before his body was found, suggesting the fatal encounter occurred sometime in the very early hours of the morning.
The investigation led to a swift arrest. An 18-year-old woman from Greenville, Winter Andrea Mance, was taken into custody in connection with Allen's death. She was subsequently charged with murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and conspiracy. While Mance was apprehended, authorities stated that they believed other individuals may have been involved in the incident.
