On the morning of January 14, 2025, police were called to a residence near 18000 North 3rd Avenue in Phoenix, Arizona, for a welfare check. Upon entering the home, officers discovered the body of 65-year-old Jana Kristine Brose, a White/Caucasian female. She was found to have died from an apparent gunshot wound. The incident, which occurred at approximately 7:30 a.m., sent a shockwave through the quiet north Phoenix neighborhood.
