In the early morning hours of September 30, 2017, the life of 25-year-old Daishawn Cottman, a male resident of Charleston, South Carolina, was tragically cut short. The incident unfolded in downtown Charleston, at the intersection of President Street and Line Street. It was there, around 1 a.m., that the Charleston Police Department responded to reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Cottman suffering from gunshot wounds.
