In the early morning hours of June 3, 2018, the life of 36-year-old Tyrone Lamont Brown was tragically cut short in Saxon, South Carolina. Gun violence erupted outside of Club No Limits on Hanes Street in Spartanburg, leading to the untimely death of the male victim. First responders discovered Mr. Brown's body underneath a vehicle in the chaotic aftermath of the shooting. Another individual was also shot and injured during the incident but later presented at Spartanburg Regional for treatment.
The scene was reportedly tumultuous, requiring law enforcement to secure the area to allow emergency medical technicians to reach the victim.
The investigation into the death of Tyrone Lamont Brown led to a significant development approximately two months later. In early August 2018, the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of a suspect in connection with the fatal shooting. Marcus Fernandes was taken into custody and formally charged with the murder of Mr. Brown. Following his arrest, Fernandes was held at the Spartanburg County Detention Center after a judge denied his bond.
