On a tragic afternoon in Spartanburg, South Carolina, the life of 37-year-old Temisha Lachelle Collier was cut short. On Tuesday, June 26, 2018, she was found on the front doorstep of her Tamara Way home, having been shot multiple times. It appeared to investigators that the female victim was attempting to flee a domestic argument when she was fatally wounded, with most of the six gunshot wounds located on her back.
Immediate attention turned to her husband, Adrian D.
McClintock, then 44, as the primary suspect in the shooting. Witnesses at the scene identified McClintock as the shooter and reported that he had fled the area in a Chevrolet Camaro. This initiated a nearly year-long manhunt for McClintock, who had a history of violent crimes, including assault and battery with intent to kill and criminal domestic violence.
In April of 2019, McClintock's time as a fugitive came to an end when he was apprehended by police in Baltimore, Maryland. Following his arrest, he was extradited back to South Carolina to face charges for the death of his wife.
Ultimately, Adrian D. McClintock pleaded guilty to charges of murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. In December 2021, a circuit court judge sentenced him to 32 years in prison for the murder of Temisha Collier. The sentence stipulated that he would have to serve the entirety of the term before being eligible for release.
