In the summer of 2018, the life of Veronica Elliott, a 31-year-old Black/African American woman, was tragically cut short in Greenville, South Carolina. On the night of July 13th, she was at the Crestwood Forest Apartments near Poinsett Highway when violence erupted. Witnesses reported seeing individuals exit a vehicle in the parking lot and begin shooting into a breezeway, striking Elliott and a man who was with her.
