Death by Force

James D. Maxwell, a 61-year-old employee at Southlawn Cemetery in Aiken, South Carolina, was found dead on September 21, 2018. His body was discovered in his living quarters at the rear of the cemetery office on Whiskey Road. The Aiken County Coroner identified Maxwell and confirmed that he died from multiple gunshot wounds. The discovery was made by another cemetery worker who went to check on Maxwell and found him unresponsive.
