James McDowell, a 23-year-old resident of Columbia, South Carolina, was tragically killed on September 30, 2018, along with his 1-year-old son, Tyreen Williams. The incident occurred at their home on Beatty Downs Road. According to reports, McDowell was found lying in the front yard, while his son was discovered inside the apartment. Both had been shot multiple times. The family believes that McDowell opened the front door with his son in his arms when the shooting began.
