In the quiet community of Greer, South Carolina, a life was tragically cut short on a February day. Christopher Scott Weir, a 31-year-old man, was visiting the Bent Creek subdivision on February 7, 2019, when a gathering of acquaintances turned fatal. The Greenville County Coroner's Office was called to the scene and pronounced him dead, later confirming through an autopsy that a gunshot wound to the chest was the cause of his death, which was officially ruled a homicide.
The investigation into the untimely death of Christopher Scott Weir soon focused on a 29-year-old Greenville woman named Victoria Diane Tharp. Tharp and Weir were known to each other and were at the residence of a mutual friend when the incident occurred.
