Kenya Purnell, a 21-year-old resident of Laurinburg, North Carolina, tragically lost her life on July 4, 2019, in Dillon, South Carolina. According to reports, Kenya was fatally shot at the Sunflower Apartments located on McNeil Street in the Newtown community of Dillon. The Dillon County Coroner, Donnie Grimsley, confirmed that she died on the scene from a gunshot wound.
