Death by Force

Wendy Cook, a 54-year-old principal at Stewart Heights Elementary School in Dillon, South Carolina, was tragically found dead on August 21, 2022. Cook was discovered shot to death inside a car, and the incident was quickly ruled a homicide by the Dillon County Coroner^1^. The authorities were alerted to the scene around 3:15 a.m. following reports of gunshots. Upon arrival, they found Cook and the suspected shooter, Kyle Church, inside the vehicle.
