Emmitt I. Hart, a 20-year-old resident of Columbia, South Carolina, tragically lost his life on the evening of July 27, 2019. Hart was fatally shot outside the Lake Shore Village Apartments, located at 7545 Garners Ferry Road. The incident occurred just before 10 p.m., and Hart was pronounced dead at Prisma Health Richland Memorial Hospital at 10:36 p.m. An autopsy revealed that the cause of death was due to gunshot wounds to the upper torso.
