In the late afternoon of August 30, 2019, a dispute between coworkers would tragically escalate, ending the life of 20-year-old Michael “Chuckie” Jaqueze Bethea in Allendale, South Carolina. The young man, a male, was walking near Barton Road when he was confronted by Courdell Dejuan Loadholt, who was 36 at the time. The confrontation stemmed from an ongoing disagreement Loadholt had with Bethea's aunt, with whom he worked.
