On the evening of Saturday, July 19, 2025, 41-year-old McKever R. Russell was shot in Allendale, South Carolina. Deputies and first responders converged on Hay Street around 9 p.m., and McKever R. Russell, a male, was later pronounced at Allendale County Hospital. Family and funeral records identify him as “Mckever Rashaad ‘Whammy’ Russell,” a lifelong son of Allendale County who worked in trucking and was known for his easy warmth with friends and relatives. He was 41 years old.
