In the early morning hours of March 7, 2020, tragedy struck in Longs, South Carolina, when 26-year-old Tavon Marquel Livingston was shot and killed. The incident, which also claimed the life of his 25-year-old brother, Shamon Dayvon Livingston, unfolded near the intersection of S.C. Highway 90 and Melissa Lane in the Wampee area. Both brothers succumbed to gunshot wounds sustained in the attack.
A third individual was also injured during the shooting.
The Horry County Police Department quickly launched an investigation into the double homicide. Their efforts led to the identification of two suspects. Tiyen Shabaz Stockdale, 20 years old at the time and also from Longs, was the first to be apprehended. He was subsequently charged with two counts of murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. He was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
A second suspect, 23-year-old Quartez Rae Kwon Livingston of Longs, was also identified and a warrant was issued for his arrest on charges of murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. He was arrested on a Sunday and booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center the following Monday. Authorities had previously sought the public's help in locating him, noting he was also known by the nicknames “Ray Ray” and “Rich”.
