In the early hours of March 7, 2020, in Longs, South Carolina, a violent encounter cut short the lives of two brothers. Shamon Dayvon Livingston, a 25-year-old male, and his brother, Tavon Marquel Livingston, aged 26, were fatally shot near Highway 90 and Melissa Lane in the Wampee area. A third individual was also injured in the incident, which was reported to authorities at approximately 3 a.m.
The Horry County Coroner's Office confirmed that both brothers died from gunshot wounds sustained in the shooting.
The investigation into the double homicide led Horry County police to identify two suspects. Tiyen Shabaz Stockdale, 20 years old at the time, was the first to be apprehended. He was charged with two counts of murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Shortly after, authorities announced they were searching for a second suspect, 23-year-old Quartez Rae Kwon Livingston. He was also wanted on charges of murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
A few days later, Quartez Livingston, also known as 'Ray Ray' and 'Rich,' was taken into custody and booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center, facing the same charges as Stockdale. Both men were denied bail. The investigation suggested that Stockdale was the individual who fatally shot the Livingston brothers. While arrests were made and charges were filed, further details regarding the trials and the ultimate convictions of the suspects have not been made publicly available.
