In a tragic event that unfolded on April 8, 2020, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, 5-year-old Paul Johnson Jr. was killed. The young male was fatally shot by his father, 41-year-old Paul Patrick Johnson Sr., who also shot and killed the boy's mother, 42-year-old Sharekia Johnson, before taking his own life. First responders found Paul Jr. and his mother deceased at the scene on Yorkdale Road. The father was transported to Piedmont Medical Center, where he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
