In the spring of 2020, a wave of shock and grief washed over the community of Walterboro, South Carolina, following the tragic death of 17-year-old Donaisha Kelly. On the afternoon of April 22nd, Kelly was driving a car near the intersection of Francis and Savage streets when gunfire erupted. Struck by a single bullet, she continued to drive for several blocks before her vehicle came to a stop in a yard on Francis Street.
