In the summer of 2019, the life of 17-year-old Devin Sesay was cut short by a senseless act of violence in Louisville, Kentucky. On the warm evening of June 13th, Devin was walking home after playing basketball at a nearby park in the Smoketown neighborhood, a place he knew well. Just a few feet from his own front door on Roselane Street, near Clay Street, the sound of gunfire shattered the midnight air. A car drove by, and shots were fired, striking Devin.
