In the quiet, early morning hours of May 19, 2021, the body of 19-year-old Dante Malik Atkins was discovered in a secluded area on Baron DeKalb Road in Camden, South Carolina. An investigation by the Kershaw County Sheriff's Department quickly determined that the young man, a recent graduate of North Central High School, had died from a gunshot wound.
