In the early morning hours of May 8, 2020, the quiet of a Camden, South Carolina community was broken by a grim discovery. Lawrence William Reed, a 65-year-old male, was found deceased in his home. A 911 call around 4 a.m. led authorities to the residence where they found Reed unresponsive in a chair, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound. Investigators also noted a broken window at the home, hinting at a possible forced entry.
