In the warm evening of June 5, 2021, the sounds of celebration at a graduation party on Pine Drive in Greenwood, South Carolina, were tragically silenced by gunfire. Seventeen-year-old KeShawn Admad Bland, a Black male and an up-and-coming senior at Greenwood High School, was attending the party when violence erupted. Just before 11 p.m., the Greenwood County Sheriff's Office received a call and arrived at the residence to find a scene of chaos and a young man's life hanging in the balance.
