Kanon Cook Melvin, a 21-year-old from Fayetteville, North Carolina, tragically lost his life on June 10, 2021, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The incident occurred during a shooting on Willoughby Lane, which also claimed the life of 19-year-old Ja'Leel Stephens. The shooting was reported around 8:15 p.m., and both victims were pronounced dead at the scene by the Horry County Coroner.
