Joseph Edward Breese, a 62-year-old male, was found deceased in his Mayo, South Carolina home on July 26, 2021. An investigation by the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office determined that Breese had been shot and killed.

The primary suspect in the homicide was identified as Breese's stepson. Following the discovery of Breese's body, law enforcement located the suspect, which resulted in a standoff with deputies. After a period of negotiation, the suspect surrendered to the authorities and ...
