On a summer evening in Pelion, South Carolina, the life of 38-year-old Aaron Matthew Peterson was brought to a violent end. On July 23, 2018, Peterson was shot multiple times in the upper body at a residence on Sandspur Road. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Two other individuals were also wounded in the shooting; one sustained serious injuries while the other's were considered non-life-threatening.
