In the quiet town of Dillon, South Carolina, the life of 18-year-old Nicolas Davis was tragically cut short on the afternoon of Sunday, February 6, 2022. The young man, a resident of Dillon, was shot on Beaufort Street and rushed to McLeod Regional Hospital. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries, a loss that rippled through the local community.
The Dillon Police Department swiftly launched an investigation into the homicide.
Their efforts, aided by surveillance footage, led to the identification and arrest of two individuals in connection with the fatal shooting. Tyquez Jalikka Stanley, 20 years old at the time, was taken into custody and faced serious charges of murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. It was noted that Stanley was already out on bond for previous charges of armed robbery and weapon possession. A second suspect, 18-year-old Kaheim Peppers, was also arrested and charged with accessory after the fact of murder.

He pleaded guilty to the charges against him, which also included two robberies from 2021.
