Death by Force

Jalik Bethea, a 30-year-old Black/African American man, was killed on July 3, 2025, in Dillon, South Carolina, after a shooting on East Dargan Street that also took the life of 60-year-old Alec Braxton. Police were called around 5 p.m. to the area of East Dargan Street at South 6th Avenue, where officers found two people shot; both later died of their wounds.
