In the backyard of a Greenville, South Carolina home, a heated argument between 24-year-old Curtavious Smith and his girlfriend, Ivy Brianna Robinson, turned deadly on the afternoon of October 20, 2022. The dispute, which began as a verbal and physical altercation over a vehicle, escalated tragically, ending with Smith suffering a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
Deputies were dispatched to the residence on Clemson Avenue around 4:30 p.m. after receiving a call about shots being fired.
Upon their arrival, they discovered Smith's body in the backyard. The Greenville County Coroner's Office later confirmed the cause of death.
The investigation swiftly pointed to the 22-year-old Robinson as the primary suspect. According to officials, she shot Smith following their intense dispute. Robinson was promptly arrested and taken into custody. She now faces serious charges, including murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
During her initial court appearance, a judge denied bond for Robinson, and she remains in custody at the Greenville County Detention Center.
