In the quiet hours of a November evening in Columbia, South Carolina, a 31-year-old woman's life was tragically cut short by gunfire. On Friday, November 18, 2022, the woman was shot at the Watermark Place apartments located near the confluence of the Broad and Saluda rivers.

Following the shooting, she was privately transported to a local hospital. Despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her injuries that same evening. The Columbia Police Department launched a homicide investigation in ...
