Gary Carl Mosser, born on April 16, 1945, in Monticello, Piatt County, Illinois, tragically passed away at the young age of five on January 2, 1951, in Joplin, Jasper County, Missouri. His death was part of a horrific crime spree committed by William Edward Cook Jr., a notorious spree killer. Cook's rampage began in late December 1950 and continued into January 1951, during which he murdered six people, including the Mosser family.
