In the autumn of 2017, word was received of the passing of Floyd Duane Shirk, a male resident of Joplin, Missouri. Born on April 18, 1933, in the Greenwood area south of Joplin, he was 84 years old at the time of his death on October 10, 2017. He grew up in the nearby town of Webb City.
