Dennis K. Murphy, aged 27, tragically lost his life on October 17, 1986, in Mooresville, Missouri. His death was part of a series of murders committed by Ray and Faye Copeland, a married couple who were later convicted as serial killers. The Copelands were known for their scheme of hiring drifters and transients to assist in their cattle business. They would use these individuals to purchase cattle with bad checks and subsequently murder them to cover up their fraudulent activities.
