In the winter of 1996, a tragic series of events in Saint Louis, Missouri, led to the death of an infant girl named Diamond Taylor. Her life was tragically cut short before it ever truly had a chance to begin. Diamond was born prematurely on February 29, 1996, through an emergency C-section after her 15-year-old mother, Kyunia Taylor, was fatally shot while six months pregnant.
