Thomas Frederick Ballman, a 37-year-old police officer from Kirkwood, Missouri, tragically lost his life on February 7, 2008. Officer Ballman was one of the victims in a shooting incident that occurred during a Kirkwood city council meeting. The assailant, who had a longstanding grudge against the city council, opened fire, resulting in the deaths of Officer Ballman, Sergeant William Biggs, and several other individuals.
