Kenneth Yost, aged 61, was tragically killed on February 7, 2008, during a mass shooting at a Kirkwood City Council meeting in Kirkwood, Missouri. Yost, who served as the Kirkwood Public Works Director, was one of six victims in this horrific event. The shooter, Charles Lee "Cookie" Thornton, had a history of conflicts with the city, including previous arrests and a conviction for assaulting Yost in 2002.
