Ludi Cruz, a 41-year-old resident of Kansas City, Missouri, tragically lost his life on May 25, 2014. Cruz was found dead in the rear parking lot of Smuggler's Inn, a nightclub located near Interstate 435 and Front Street. The incident occurred early Sunday morning, following a verbal altercation inside the club that escalated into a fatal confrontation outside. According to witnesses, the conflict culminated in Cruz being shot in the head with a Highpoint 9-mm handgun.
