On the night of January 18, 2015, a male victim, 28-year-old Ned Raovoa Booker, was fatally shot outside the AMC Creve Coeur 12 Theater on Olive Boulevard in Creve Coeur, Missouri. The incident occurred at approximately 11:44 p.m., when police responded to a report of shots fired and found Booker on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Creve Coeur Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis to investigate the homicide. Investigators quickly determined that the shooting was not a random act of violence, but rather a targeted attack. Their investigation led them to identify several witnesses and persons of interest in the murder of the University City man.
A few days later, on the evening of January 21, 2015, investigators attempted to make contact with several individuals at a residence in the Spanish Lake area of North St. Louis County. These subjects fled in a vehicle at a high rate of speed, leading to a police pursuit that ended in the city of St. Louis, where they were taken into custody. However, two of the individuals of interest were later released from custody as authorities stated there was not enough evidence to formally charge them in connection with Booker's murder. The investigation was then returned to the Creve Coeur Police Department. As of late 2025, there have been no further arrests or publicly announced suspects in the killing of Ned Booker.
