Akeem D. Nelson, a 20-year-old resident of Kennett, Missouri, tragically lost his life on July 14, 2017. His body was discovered by Kennett Police on a couch in a home located in the 400 block of Shady Lane. The discovery was made after a local resident flagged down a police officer and reported the presence of a deceased individual on his couch. Upon arrival, the officer found Nelson's body and he was pronounced dead at the scene by Dunklin County Coroner James Powell.
