On July 28, 2019, 25-year-old Javon Drexel Jackson was fatally shot in Kennett, Missouri. The incident occurred shortly after noon when officers from the Kennett Police Department were dispatched to the area of Beaton Street following reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, authorities discovered Jackson, who had fallen victim to gun violence.
