Melissa Luttrell, a 27-year-old woman from Whitewater, Missouri, tragically died on March 26, 2015. She was found at her home in Gordonville, a rural area near Cape Girardeau, with a fatal gunshot wound to the chest. The Cape Girardeau County Coroner confirmed that the cause of death was a gunshot wound.
