On the morning of Monday, September 22, 2025, 51-year-old Johnetta Yeager was arriving for her job as a soil and water conservationist at the USDA Service Center in Versailles, Missouri. As she was getting out of her vehicle in the parking lot at approximately 7:34 a.m., she was tragically shot. First responders found her unconscious with a gunshot wound to the head.
