In the spring of 2015, a gathering of friends in Warrensburg, Missouri, took a tragic and irreversible turn, ending the life of a young man serving his country. John J. Bottom, a 22-year-old White male, was a Senior Airman in the 509th Security Forces Squadron stationed at the nearby Whiteman Air Force Base.
