A 20 year old Burger Chef employee is kidnapped and murdered
On a cool November evening in 1978, twenty-year-old Jayne Friedt was finishing her shift as the assistant manager at a Burger Chef in Speedway, Indiana. A hardworking and involved young woman, she had recently transferred to this location after three years with the company. On the night of November 17th, she and three teenage coworkers, Ruth Ellen Shelton, Daniel Davis, and Mark Flemmonds, were closing the restaurant.
