In the winter of 2015, in north St. Louis County, the life of a three-year-old boy named Xavier Zae Robinson was tragically cut short. On the morning of December 21st, a single gunshot echoed through his family's home on Emerald Creek Drive. The shot, fired from a handgun, struck the young boy in the chest. He was rushed to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries. The person who fired the fatal shot was not a stranger, but a fifteen-year-old friend of Xavier's older brother.
