On April 21, 2016, two-year-old Shaquille Kornegay tragically died in Kansas City, Missouri. The incident occurred at a home on Lawn Avenue, where Shaquille found a loaded handgun and accidentally shot herself. Her father, Courtenay S. Block, was present in the home at the time. According to court records, Block heard Shaquille crying and discovered the handgun on the floor next to her.
