On the evening of May 25, 2016, Nikita Boston, a 36-year-old Black female, was found shot to death in her vehicle just after arriving at her home in the 1100 block of East 66th Street in Kansas City, Missouri. Boston, a mother of two preteen boys, had spent the earlier part of the evening with her sisters, making plans for her upcoming birthday.
