On the evening of June 12, 2016, a violent incident unfolded in the 6600 block of Park Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri, resulting in the death of a young man. Thomas M. Fayne, a 21-year-old Black male, was seated in the driver's seat of his vehicle outside a residence when the attack occurred. He was accompanied at the time by a woman and a 2-year-old child, who were also inside the car. The situation escalated rapidly around 6:30 p.m. when another vehicle approached their location.
